As much joy as a new baby brings to parents, the addition of a child is also one of the most stressful things that can happen to a couple’s relationship. In fact, 69% of new parents report increased conflict and disappointment in their partner relationship after the birth of their baby!

The 2 day Bringing Baby Home workshop was developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman; leading experts in the fields of marriage and early parenting.  Through a series of dynamic short presentations, exercises, and entertaining video clips and facilitated group discussion the workshop provides research based information and guidance to help couples navigate the challenges of transitioning to parenthood.

Research has shown couples who participate in the program experience higher levels of relationship satisfaction after the birth of their first child than non-participants. Couples who participate in a Bringing Baby Home workshop can expect to:
    • Increase friendship in their relationship
    • Deal effectively with conflict
    • Improve the quality of parent-infant interactions
